"Chaand tanhaa hai aasmaan tanhaa"

चाँद तन्हा है , आसमां तन्हा,
दिल मिला है कहाँ कहाँ तन्हा,

बुझ गई आस, छुप गया तारा,
थरथरता रहा धुआँ तन्हा,

ज़िन्दगी क्या इसी को कहते है
जिस्म तन्हा है और जां तन्हा

हमसफ़र कोई गर मिले भी कहीं
दोनो चलते रहे तन्हा तन्हा

जलती बुझती सी रौशनी के परे
सिमटा सिमटा सा एक मकां तन्हा

राह देखा करेगा सदियों तक
छोड़ जायेंगे ये जहां तन्हा

चाँद तन्हा है , आसमां तन्हा,
दिल मिला है कहाँ कहाँ तन्हा

चाँद : moon
तन्हा : alone,  lonely
आसमां : sky

In this couplet, the writer consoling herself that she & her heart is not only one who is lonely, same in comparison, moon is alone, sky is alone.

बुझ गई आस, छुप गया तारा,
थरथरता रहा धुआँ तन्हा

बुझ : extinguished
आस : hope
छुप : hide
तारा : star
थरथरता : shivering
धुआँ : smoke

Lost all hope ( metaphor : no visible star shine) ,  Completely shaken inside ( metaphor : smoke)

ज़िन्दगी क्या इसी को कहते है
जिस्म तन्हा है और जां तन्हा

ज़िन्दगी : life
जिस्म : human body
जां : soul

Is this called a life? When no soul mate,  no life mate,  no physical relationship?
Writer questions hereself about the definition of Life.

हमसफ़र कोई गर मिले भी कहीं
दोनो चलते रहे तन्हा तन्हा

हमसफ़र : life partner
कोई : any
गर : if

If somehow gets a so called 'life partner' even then living like strangers, like walking separately means without any harmony.

जलती बुझती सी रौशनी के परे
सिमटा सिमटा सा एक मकां तन्हा

जलती : burning
बुझती : extinguished
रौशनी : light
परे : apart
सिमटा सिमटा : summed up
एक मकां तन्हा : a lonely home

Metaphysical
A visible light : A ray of hope
A extinguished light : A despair of hope
In between a lonely house ( only brick & cement, without any heart & emotions)

राह देखा करेगा सदियों तक,
छोड़ जायेंगे ये जहां तन्हा...

राह : path
सदियों : century
जहां : this life : this life

Writer sure about one thing that after death, people would remember till hundreds of years including life less partner at present.

Like deciphering between a Murti & Pritama.

The literally meaning :
I think, If I request God a "blessing",
With raised hands "What blessing would I ask"
The moment, I started admiring ( loving) you,
Its like admiring almighty,
I am not a infidel ( non believer of god)
But "the beautiful" The moment, I looked you,
I start Discovering God in mankind

kuch us "nigaah-e-naaz" ki,
baaten karo............
Bekhudi badhti chali hai
raaz ki baaten karo............
"Nakhat-e-zulf-e-pareshaan ",
dastaan-e-shaam-e-gham,
Subah hone tak,
isi andaaz ki baaten karo.......
Ye sukut-e-yaas,
ye dil ki ragon ka tootna,
Khamoshi mein kuch,
shikast-e-saaz ki baaten karo..........
Kuch qafas ki tiliyon se,
Chhan raha hai noor sa,
Kuch faza,
kuch hasrat-e-parvaaz
ki baaten karo.....

gham : desperation
Kuch : some
Us : her my beloved
Nigaah : eye's glare
Naaz : pride
Baaten : talk about
An evening of desperation Please talk about "glare of my eyes pride" .......
Bekhudi badhti chali hai
raaz ki baaten karo.......
Bekhudi : Restlessness
Badhti : increasing
Chali hai : continuously
Raaz : secret
Baaten : talk about
Restlessness is increasing, hence talk about
secrets (of my beloved ) .........

The poet want to shed his desperation, in a lonely evening,, by talking with himself about the fragrant hair of his beloved, that is why, he is requesting the loneliness to continue the talk of his beloved till morning ....

yaas : despair
Yeh : this
Dil : heart
Ragon : nerves
Tootna : breaking

Saaz : rhythm ...
In This "silence of despair" & ( with breaking of my heart's nerves ) , in this silence talk about defeat of my rhythm......
Kuch qafas ki tiliyon se,
Chhan raha hai noor sa,
Kuch faza,
kuch hasrat-e-parvaaz
ki baaten karo.....
qafas : cage
Tiliyon : cage bar 
Faza : Fiza : atmosphere
Hasrat : desire
parvaaz : flight high altitude
Some light rays filtering through the prison's  window's iron bars ( tiliyon )  , the poet imagination is to fly like a  bird in open air with great height to meet his beloved love.

The accurate meaning....
The poet is so lonely and desperate in an absolutely silent evening in a prison , missing his beloved so much.
This loneliness is like a cage or a prison for him, to avoid this restlessness, he want to remember his beloved, the beautiful things about her secrets with him , her Fragrant hair.
He further want to tell her, about his heart break in her absence, about the defeat of his rhythm.
Ultimately, he want to liberate himself like the rays of light coming freely from the prison windows ( to get rid of loneliness ) , so that he can fly high to meet his beloved....
