Sun Charkhe Di Mithi Mithi Hook" Sung by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahib

Kapil Jain's Understanding & Translation of "Sun Charkhe Di Mithi Mithi Hook"
Sung by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahib, Poet : Unknown, seems to be a folklore ( further update Welcome )

Sweet melodious sound of spinning wheel reminds me of my beloved , who is away from home , it erupts  inconsolable feeling of remembrance of my beloved

When the moon ( beloved )  sighting signling the beginning of celebrations will appear ? God knows , when beloved enters back in home ? Enormous suffrings , life like a hell without beloved

Will celebrate when beloved return ,
Will lay down my eyes to decorate the return passage  ,  soul almost burned in the intense heat of separation.

Consistent teasing by relatives , please write back the date of your return , each black night ( night without beloved ) bites me with venom.

While spinning the wheel , my tears were unstoppable , these days laughter hurts enormously  , how could I forget beloved's behaviour.

Dayam Pada Hua

Kapil Jain's Understanding of
Mirza Ghalib's Ghazal
"Dayam Pada Hua,  Tere Dar Par Nahi Hu May"

Door, Entrance
Ashes, Dust , worthless
Stone

Real Meaning :
I am a human with heart & mind ,
Not a heartless ( stone ) Lying at your door ( on your mercy ) , if this life is such than like ashes ( worthless )

--------------------------------------------

Cup
Goblet , Wine Cup
Heartless Ideal items

Being a human , bound to fear ( worried ) with continues bad luck , not like ideal cup & kettle.

--------------------------------------------

Oh - God
ज़माना : era
मिटाता : wipe , erase
लौह : iron
जहाँ  :  world , earth , universe
लौह-ए- जहाँ  : world , universe ( here meaning word etched on iron plate )
Alphabet
मुक़र्रर : repeated
हर्फ़-ए-मुक़र्रर : repeated word

Oh God , why society want to erase me ,
I am a fragile soul, henceforth die down itself , not a parmanent word etched on a iron plate to be fixed for centuries. ( Like History Books )

--------------------------------------------

Infidel ( here meaning : ultimate crime )

Here Ghalib has Cautioned the Civilizations about the misuse of powers by ruling elite in their waisted intrest.

I understand , to maintain civility in society , proper due persecution required for guilty within limits of prescribed Laws , henceforth here I am merely guilty ( not murderer like criminal who deserve ultimate punishment of hanging ).

--------------------------------------------

किस : why , which , whom
वास्ते : for the sake of

This a satire on the society by Ghalib, means society care only for those , which are materialistically valuable.

I am a ordinary man ,
That's why my favorite people admire me,
I am not precious or valuable or a wealthy person like ruby , emerald , gold or pearl.

--------------------------------------------

1. scholarship of a month
2. Sun and Moon

Literally two Meaning can be extracted out of this couplet :
First :
Why you try to avoid me as I am inferior to you , in status I am as bright and beautiful as sun and moon.
Second :
Why you try to avoid me as I am inferior to you , in Rank , my scholarship per month is not less than you.

--------------------------------------------

मना-ए-क़दम-बोस : forbidden to kiss feet
Ghalib has derived this couplet from a Hindi Proverb which said

Please don't under estimate me ,
I will succeed that skies will be on my feet.

--------------------------------------------

Poet 'Mirza Ghalib' referring himself
वज़ीफ़ा : scholarship
ख़्वार : recipient
वज़ीफ़ा-ख़्वार : scholarship recipient
शाह : monarch, king , ruler
दुआ : blessings , prayers , wish

नौकर : servant

Oh Ghalib , Now as you are a scholarship recipient , Say thanks to the King for his kind blessings ,
Old bad days are over when people used to tease me as Servant , Now I'm not.

Kapil’s Understanding of
Ahmed Faraz Poem

Today my heart said , let's forget  memories, life has passed & same memories all the way.

-------------------------------------------

As if today was the day of separation, though it was long ago, still giving a life span of painful memories.

---------------------------------------------

काश : if
मुमकिन : possible
कागज़ी : paper
कश्ती : boat
फ़रामोशी : forgetful
ख़ुद-फ़रामोशी : self forgetful
दरिया : river

If possible like a paper boat , fold all memories & disperse in a River of self-forgetfulness.

(In other words , even to forget the people's obligation towards us.)
To the context :

---------------------------------------------

May that season come ,when people obliged by you , lay down flowers & petals in your rememberance.

---------------------------------------------

That love is a crime & that too of such a nature in which punishment is lifelong sufferings of inconsolable memories.

---------------------------------------------

To forget is a natural blessing ,
Else memories would make human a  lunatic.

---------------------------------------------

                               ....Ahmed Faraz

Today my heart said , let's forget  memories, life has passed & same memories all the way.

"Silsile Tode Gaya Vo Sabhi Jaate Jaate"

Kapil Jain's Understanding & Translation of Ahmed Faraz Ghazal,
"Silsile Tode Gaya Vo Sabhi Jaate Jaate"

Relations, Customs, Rules

Beloved has broken all connection before going, despite our relationship was strong enough to have mutual respect & connection even after disconnection but in vain.
______________________________

Complaint
Darkness
Night
Complaint of darkness of night,
Candle

In each relationship, each one has to do their part of duties fulfillment, if one party only do the complaint (here as a metaphor "Complaint of darkness of night"), instead one can make an effort ( here metaphor  "to make some light by lit a candle") to make relationship healthy.
______________________________

Easy
Separation
To Die
Beloved
Age
Life ( here refer Beloved = Life)

Oh my dear beloved, it was so easy to die in your separation, but it took an age to detach from your memories.

______________________________

Celebration
Place of Murder, Execution, Killing
Celebration of killing at Site
Start
पा : feet
जौलाँ : chained
Chained Feet

Very Difficult to Explain :
Please reply if better understand.

It's a satire or explanation of separation,
i.e.
On pending Drama was to celebration the Murder at the Murder Site, which didn't happened, else if would have dance in the ecstasy (Metaphor Chained feet) of separation.
______________________________

Consideration, Respect, Regard
वफ़ा : faithful, Fidelity, ( here love )
Respect for mutual faith
Poet Name Ahmed Faraz

______________________________

”Ku Ba Ku Phail Gayi Baat Shanasai ki"

Kapil Jain's :
Translation & Understanding of Parveen Shakir's
”Ku Ba Ku Phail Gayi Baat Shanasai ki"

क़यामत : day of final judgment by god
शबे-तन्हाई : night of loneliness

Vagabond

जलती : feverish or burning
पेशानी : माथा : forehead
रूह : soul : आत्मा
तासीर : प्रभाव : influence
मसीहाई : मसीहा : healer : great touch

Bahut Pehle Se, Un Qadmon Ki Aahat Jaan Letey Hai, Tujhe Ae Zindagi, Hum Duur Se Pehchaan Letey Hain

Jab Sunsaan Raaton Mein,

====================
B : The feeling or correct meaning
1.
My love,
You are my life,
Without you,
I am  like a lifeless creature,
Merely by thinking about you,
I become a fully awaked
and a happy person
That is why,  I always gauge  your presence (not physical) from a very long distance.
2:
When i do not feel good
in long lonely nights
without you,  my love
I take the refuge in your lovely memories........
=================
I salute you,  Firaq Sahib

Gulon Mey Rang Bhare,

Gulon Mey Rang Bhare,
Badalo Bahar Chale,
Chale  Bhhi Aao
Key Gulshan Ka Karobar Chale

                 .......  Faiz Ahmed Faiz

Gulon : Gul : Flowers
Rang. : colour
Badal : cloud
Bahar : bloom
Chale bhi aao. :  please Come (  request)
Gulshan : Nature

Flowers are blooming
with full colour,
Clouds are full of  rain water
To facilitate blooming,
Please come my love
Just to facilitate the business of blooming in  Nature.

Real Meaning :

the correct essence of these
beautiful couplets is that
What ever beauty  in the divine nature
is only due to your presence,
To keep the continuation of this blooming,
Your Presence is a must

Koi mere dil se puche

Koi mere dil se puche
Tere teere neem kash ko
Yeh khalish kaha se hoti
Jo jigar ke paar hota
                      .......  Ghalib

May any body ask my heart regarding
Your  intended arrow with poison dipped tip
This desperation would not be existing
If arrow would have crossed my heart, killing me in result.
(the arrow is a metaphor for your unconditional love for me,  it is in my heart creating a hell of desperation)

He further want to tell her, about his heart break in her absence, about the defeat of his rhythm.
Ultimately, he want to liberate himself like the rays of light coming freely from the prison windows ( to get rid of loneliness ) , so that he can fly high to meet his beloved....
